Die Nacht war tiefschwarz, die Regenwolken verbargen die Sterne und den Mond. Der Strom war ausgefallen und nur eine alte Laterne spendete mir etwas Licht. Der Regen prasselte gegen das Fenster meines spärlich eingerichteten Büros und es war kalt. Bitter kalt. Ich sah mir die Fotos des letzten Falls noch einmal an. Die Morde in den Kirchen. Den Täter konnte die Polizei schnappen, doch es kam mir seltsam vor. Es war kein wirkliches Muster, es war ihm egal, welchem Teil des Glaubens die Kirche angehörte. Die Polizei behauptete, er sei ein Christenschlächter. Alles, was mit der Verehrung Gottes zu tun habe,sollte durch seine Hand bluten. Doch ich glaubte nicht daran. Auch wenn ich nur Bilder der Tatorte und nicht der Taten hatte, so konnte ich keine Rückschlüsse auf Satanismus oder ähnliches darauf erkennen.
