Die Stadt Pforzheim wurde am 23. Februar 1945 völlig zerstört. Nach der Bombardierung schien ein Leben in den Ruinen nicht mehr möglich. Anne Heinz schilderte in einem Brief die Zeit vor dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Es ist der genaue Wortlaut meiner Großmutter, welche die damalige Zeit aus der Sicht einer deutschen Hausfrau mit amerikanischem Pass schilderte.
